Initially begun as a Spanish fort in 1533, el Morro is one of the most iconic historic sites in Puerto Rico. A ticket to enter el Morro will also provide access to the Castillo de San Cristóbal (yet another colonial fort!) a few minutes away.

El Yunque is Puerto Rico's rainforest and is located about a 45-minute drive from San Juan. It makes a wonderful day trip if your travel schedule allows! Trip Advisor and other tour companies lead various hikes and expeditions through highlights in the park.
